Birmingham Riots 2011

Photographs of the destruction in Birmingham this morning after last night’s riots. I’d gone in to help with the clean-up but there was nothing to do; hence these photos. They’re not a complete set as I missed the Bullring, but everything I saw I photographed.

Regarding some of the reports from last night, the bull still has its head (I don’t think miscreant kids carry welding equipment) and Primark was untouched and certainly not a smouldering wreck.

Cyber Candy, Bull Street. Film of Cyber Candy featured prominently on the local news, glad to say the shop’s open for business. I spoke to a few of the guys in there who did an amazing job of getting all the glass out, besides the window the shop is pristine.
